Officer Lindsey, We never met, however, by reading all of the reflections that have been left for you, I feel that in a way I do know a piece of you. This speaks volumes of your family and friends who love you. God bless them for keeping your spirit alive. I traveled from Troy to Utica for your wake. I wasn't the only one who traveled a distance to pay their respects to a man they had never met before. I'm sure you would have been proud of the turn out from all of your brothers and sisters in blue. I think of you sometimes while on duty. It was unfortunate that you had to pass the way you did, but I must say that when I'm on duty, especially making a traffic stop, I don't let my guard down, you are with me. Because of this you probably saved my life a time or two. It's pretty obvious you got my six brother. Thank you. keep watching over us from your position, and in time, we will meet. Like one of our other brothers have already stated, we'll take the watch from here.

I come here often to read what great things people have written in to say to you. Tonight I am leaving a message because as I got on the Tim McGraw song that I had played for you the last night of your wake came on the radio. I can only pray that it is a sign that you are thinking of the kids and I at the same time we are thinking of you. The trial for the person who is being held for your death is to begin on March 3. I hope he gets everything that is coming to him. He took away an incredible man who is deeply missed by so many people, especially Tyler and Kylee. We love you.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Everytime I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the man they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Lindsey, especially to his girlfriend. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. You will be in my thoughts.
From reading the reflections left for Thomas, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Thomas' life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Thomas' life was about so much more than the way he died. Thomas will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.
Officer Lindsey, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been four years but we still miss him terribly.
Wishing you brighter and better days,
Jocelyne :)

Tom, I know it has been a little while since your birthday had come. But to let you know we celebrated your birthday for you. A candle was lit and kept burning for you the entire evening. A few of us ended up checking on you as the night went on. We miss you and love you very much. Please keep watching out for us as you have. You ride with us every day.

Your birthday is coming up. As much as all of us wish you could be there with your patented white sneakers and blue jeans, we know that you will attend in spirit. We'll take care of the sneaks and jeans.
We see you and miss you every day.
Your chair in roll call has been kept sacred.

Tom, you should have seen the sight of everyone riding in the rain for you the other day. Man you would have been proud and laughing at the same time. No one complained about the rain at all. We all know you were there in spirit with us. Keep watch over us. The city is getting worse by the week and you are are protector and guardian angel.

Tom would've been 35 on Oct. 1st according to his D.O.B. provided on this site. Let us all stop on that day and say a special prayer and reflect on a hero and thank God for him and his life and those who continue to serve our country and community. God bless Tom's family especially his mom, as we are sure his birthday will be a very difficult day for them.

It has been 5 months today since you were taken from us. It is hard to understand why something so tragic could have happened to such an incredible man. God must have needed you for something special. The kids and I find strength in the memories that we created together. You are not just our hero now but a hero to the world. We love you and always will. I know in my heart that someday we will be together again. I love you.
