I was Barry's supervisor on Special Operations Group (SOG) for three years prior to my retirement. I knew Barry for over 1o years before his assignment to SOG. He was an exemplary Special Agent but more important he was an exemplary human being. My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues. He will be truely missed.

I won't begin to think that words can take away any of your family's pain at this time. The FBI and our law enforcement brothers are crying with you. SA Bush is truly a hero and I know his family is proud of him. Go in peace with God Barry, you will not be forgotten. I will say a prayer for the other SA involved as he is surely in a great deal of pain right now.

What a warrior, what a hero! Barry was a perfect example of a mentor, friend, and confidant with a smooth mystique about him. We worked together prior to our law enforcement careers in a juvenile delinquent facility here in Pennsylvania. He helped to mold and prepare me for a career in law enforcement. He was able to quell a riot with his demeanor which was larger than life. He always had his finger on the pulse. You knew when you worked with him that he always had your back. He was a good friend and he will truly be missed. Warmly submitted, Rick Dean

SA Bush, sometimes things go backfired.....You did the ultimate sacrifice sir....Sometimes an extension may be invoked than brings unexpected consequences.Don't walk away cops- When things go wrong ... Do not worry about getting into trouble by getting involved, because we are more interested in our lives but others may live.Cops special breed of men, dont walk away....KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

To the family of AGENT BUSH My heart goes out to you. The way my son died was similar. To me it seems like yesterday, or I still feel like I am in some sort of nightmare. What keeps me going is the support of all our family, friends, officers of the Reading police dept., and the many people I've met since that night in JUNE,2004. We all know our world is full of tragedy, but there is some peace in knowing that BARRY will not be forgotten!SINCERELY The WISE FAMILY. 4-9-07.

SA Bush's death was tragic reminder to all, how dangerous a job law enforcement is. During these types of situations there can be officers from 3-4 different agencies on scene. It is hard to keep the lines of communication open between local police and the federal officers. Most agencies don't use the same radio frequency or even the same codes. SA Bush, your family and friends will be in my prayers.
