An Officer

April 3, 2007

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jason's family. It was my pleasure to work with Jason at CCSO. Our family here at the Sheriff's Office has suffered greatly with the loss of Jason. He was a wonderful young man and a great Deputy. Campbell Co has lost one of it's finest. Rest in peace Jason and we shall always remember.

To Officer Saunders Family,
I am sorry for your loss, my brother was shot and killed on January 30th 2004. At the time of his death he was 24 years old and had served with the St. Louis City Police Department for a little over 2 years. After reading about Jason, I thought of Nick. I wish there was some way to take away your pain, I know there isn't. Just remember everyone on this website is going through the same pain as your family, we are all here for you.

Dear Jason,
Please give your family the strength they are going to need in the up coming days and years. Please give them a lot of signs, they will need them. You are a hero and will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, and tell Nick hi from all of us.

God bless all of you,

We are thinking of the family at this time, for we truly know the sorrows you feel this morning.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
