Jason you will not be forgotten. You touched the lives of so many. Words can not express how much you will be missed. My thoughs and prayers go out to your family, friends, and coworkers. Thanks so much for always being such a good friend. Go now to rest in the wonderful place that God has made for you and continue to shine down your good graces upon us. I will miss the good times we had together. Some of my fondest memories include car stereos and a tall pitcher of ice tea. You will be greatly missed by all who knew you. You paid the ultimate price, a man has nothing any greater to offer. Jason...Thanks

To the Campbell County SO, friendn, family and anyone that knew Dep. Saunders, my deepest heart felt sympathies go out. I met Dep. Saunders on one occasion and he appeared as a true professional and asset to the CCSO. As a law enforcement officer you know tradgies like this will or possibly can happen, however you never believe it can happen to an agency near the one you work at or at your agency. I know no words can ever take away this pain and emotions for friends, coworkers or the family of this true hero. As a neighboring agency to Campbell County we work together as one regardless of the color of uniform. We are all officers no matter. Again my deepest sympathies to the men and women of CCSO, the friends and family of Deputy Saunders. Another hero is lost in this battle of evil, you will be not forgotten. We will take the watch on now and you can rest in peace.

The one of MANY memories I have of Jason is that when we were in school, Peggy dropped him off at Granny's every morning when she went to work It was my job to get him away when it was time to get ready for school. He was like a rag doll, I had to sit him up, get his shoes on and "drag" him to the kitchen so he could eat breakfast. And his breakfast of choice, either a sausage biscuit with grape jelly or "Granny's French Toast". I am so proud of the young man he became. He is LOVED and will NEVER be forgotten!!!!
