I am very saddened to see that Officer Clarke only got to serve for one year before this incident. I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and to his fellow Officers. His assailant will surely spend an eternity in hell for striking down a man serving an honorable purpose for his community. God bless you, Officer Clarke. We will take the watch from here.

There are simply no words that give justice to the gratitude that we have for Officers’ Clarke and Shelton. Their sacrifice cannot be equaled and it is a tragic day for all in law enforcement.

We send our prayers, strength, and heartfelt wishes that their families find peace. Thank you for your service and courage.

“Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night sweet prince[s] and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”
