Dear Parents, wife and family
My son David was a proud Coastie before becoming a proud Sheriff Deputy. I know how unfair it feels. My David was only 26 years old too, loved life and was always helping others. I miss him so much. Just know that you are in my prayers and that although the pain never goes away it does become more bareable. Remember that Ronald's watch did not end but that he is eternally on watch and is watching over all of you now. We have to always remember how our son's lived not how they died and that our family chain will link again in heaven one day. God Bless you all

Ronnie,

Its been almost two weeks since you left of for bigger and better things and although sometimes we dont understand why , we know your looking down on us. Your wife asked the four of us who escorted you home to RI to be your childs godfather, I cried but said yes. We miss you here in Alaska and hope your having a blast up there. I know the officers who gave it all before you are greeting you with open arms. Take care and see you when we get there

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents & our comfort comes from trusting Him to hold us in the strength of His loving arms.
