You are truly a great man. There is no greater sacrifice for one person to lay down his life in protection of another. Know that you will always be in the hearts and souls of your peers. God Speed.

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Officer Stiles and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of justice and peace. Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice Officer Stiles has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.
To the family and friends of Officer Stiles, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to move on. Just as you were always with him when he walked the beat or patrolled the streets, know that he will always be with you - wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Officer Stiles is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Thank you for your service here in South Carolina -- you made the ultimate sacrifice. In 1993, one of our officers nearly died during a domestic violence incident. This is a sobering reminder of the risks of this incident type.

It's bad enough to lose one valuable member of any police department, let alone two. I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I too lost my husband in February, who was a Vice narcotics detective and was shot and killed. I know the shock and the pain you are all going through. My prayers are with all of you and please know Officer Stiles is a hero in everyone's heart. I am so sorry.

To the fine men and woman of Moncks Corner PD and in the memory of a true hero,
In todays time society has it all backwards. We pay millions of dollars to actors, basketball players, football players , rappers on and on it goes ...
Our children grow up respecting these people and learn all the wrong lessons in life.
You Officer Stiles are truly admirable and it is people like you that have paid the true debt to society with the ultimate sacrifice. Every day the Policeman goes 10-8 he doesn't know if he is going to return home to his family.
Officer Stiles you are a true hero and and your sacrifice will not go unforgotten. Thank you.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Officer Stiles, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.
Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

IT MAKES NO SENCE WHY SUCH A TRAGIC INCIDENT WOULD HAVE TO TAKE PLACE OVER A STUPID ARGUMENT. I WILLNEVER UNDERSTAND WHAT GOES THROUGH A SUSPECTS MIND AND MAKES THEM ALL THE SUDDEN DECIDE TO TAKE THE LIFE OF A PERSON WHO IS THERE TRYING TO HELP THEM OUT. GOD BLESS THIS FALLEN HERO AND HIS PARTNER AS WELL. THAT PIECE OF *&%@ THAT TOOK THEIR LIVES WILL GET HIS IN THE END.
