God Bless and comfort Officer Nix, his family, and DPD. The Mesquite Police Department also mourns and feels your loss.

Soon we shall stand together in a sea of blue to salute this hero. All shall see that the thin blue line holds strong and we shall carry on together the task of service and protection that Officer Nix gave his life for.

How truly noble an officer and marine who stood in the face of danger and finished the fight, so now there is in store for him the crown of righteousness(II Timothy 4:7-8).

Thank you for your service and sacrifice, Officer Nix. We shall never forget.

Nemo Me Impune Lecessit.

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Mark,
I can't believe another brother has been taken from us so soon. It seems like just yesterday that you were trying to get me to go shoot paintballs with you and the guys. Your humor and smile will be missed. Please tell Brian that we miss him too. You two watch us from above and we will finish up down here.
