Reflections for Senior Corporal Mark Timothy Nix
Mark,
I didn't know you personally, but as a fellow brother in blue, today I stood next to my agency comrades who knew you and had fun with you. The sadness in their eyes was pitiful. To hear of the senseless loss of your life was on everyones mind today as we qualified at the range. Your buddies did great.
We are all very proud of you, and those who knew you personally will never forget the fun times, the sad times, the duty times. You answered the last call to help protect the citizens you swore to protect. Today, you are an angel in Gods Kingdom...Brother you take care and know you will never be forgotten, not here, not ever....
Prayers and sincerest condolences to your family and every member of the Dallas Police Department,,,

Sometimes you get the bad guy and sometimes he
gets you.
The shot that killed you also killed a part of us.
It killed a part of your family, both at work and at home.
It killed your dreams, your hopes, your future.
But it must not kill our determination to make this
world a better place or our will to make a difference.
America's streets must be running red with blood with
all the deaths of leos. Every time I come here to leave
a reflection, I feel like my words get emptier and emptier. I am truly sorry for your loss...a loss too great
for words.

SR CPL Nix, although I'm a Fort Worth resident I would like to thank you for the many years of service and dedication to your profession, the citizens of Dallas, and the World. Everyday you answered roll call you helped further our American Dream, you kept us safe. Even if we might not have told you thanks for a job well done, or thanked you for keeping us safe, you still showed up for work. It is that dedication to service that makes your profession a noble calling. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, your family, and your fellow brothers and sisters. I'm sure they are honored to have you with them on the streets of Dallas every day and night. Thanks
