My family suffered a loss on April 24, 2002. I can't say we have recovered, but time does heal a little. My heart goes out to his parents, and his wife-to be. I understand your pain after loosing my husband, soalmate and best friend-all in one horrible day. To the Police Department I know you are hurting as well. Take whatever steps you can to support the family as well as allowing yourself to heal-individually and as a family. Please take advantage of the COPS programs-they have given us all the strength to go on.
Blessings,

S Corporal Nix, Godspeed your family.
God Bless America.
Land that I love
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies ,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America
My home sweet home.
God Bless America,
Land that I love
Stand beside her,
And guide her,
Through the night
With the light from above,
From the mountains,
To the prairies,
To the ocean,
White with foam,
God bless America,
My home sweet home.
God bless America,

IN MEMORY OF OUR BROTHER IN BLUE....MARK NIX....DALLAS POLICE DEPARTMENT... I never dreamed it would be me, My name for all eternity, Recorded here at this hallowed place, Alas, my name, no more my face. "In the line of duty" I hear them say; My family now the price will pay. My folded flag stained with their tears; We only had those few short years. The badge no longer on my chest, I sleep now in eternal rest. My sword I pass to those behind, And pray they keep this thought in mind. I never dreamed it would be me, And with heavy heart and bended knee; I ask for all here from the past, Dear God, let my name be the last.
