Know your up there somewhere watching over your children - proud as you should be. As others join you, I know you are greeting them with open arms, a joke, and a good laugh. RIP - never forgotten and always thinking of you.

ANGELE Dei,
qui custos es mei,
Me tibi commissum pietate superna;
(Hodie, Hac nocte) illumina, custodi, rege, et guberna.
Amen.

Every time I come to your page and look at your picture I fight back tears. I miss you dad and I always will.

Hey daddy i love you so much.I've been thinking about you a lot, this x-mas was the best we celebrated with both moms and your family. It felt like old times,my brother and his family came down to spend time with us.It was like we had a piece of the past back.I wish you were here,my b-day is in 5 days. You would be so proud of your son, he looks and sounds just like you.Mom was glad to have that back, someone to make her smile again. After 8 years I'm starting to move forward,i figured that i can not dwell on the past.Knowing that one day we will reunite and be a family again that's what keeps me going.

The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows when
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there
For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another

It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

So on we go

We spilled the same blood over the same mud,
I’m sorry if I failed you.

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

Thank you for your service God Bless your family

We know your loss.

Don't worry about anything: instead, pray about everything
If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and rest as you trust in God.

Together we stand against all those who attempt to break the law. We pledge to protect the innocent and all who cannot defend themselves. But when a brother falls everyone sees that we are not invincible, we do bleed, we do hurt and we even cry. But we should never forget, we do make a difference even in times of sorrow and times of loss. Brothers stay strong and keep moving forward.

Never Forget our Fallen Brothers…..

Agent Gomez, I thank you.

Larry was under my supervision or command for his entire DRO career in El Paso, as well as his contract days. Larry had one of the most positive attitudes and professional demeanors of anyone I've ever worked with. As a supervisor/manager, there were always stressful occassions and I can remember Larry coming up to me on more than one of those occassion and saying "don't worry, we'll get you through this". It was very reassuring having an Officer such as Larry in your presence.

Christy and the kids have a lot to be proud of.

To Family:
It was great honor that Lorenzo passed through my life. He has been missed. He always had a smile and a kind remark to make or a funny one. He took his job seriously. This memorial to him is long overdue and I am glad it finally happened. Keep faith yourselves. He will always be with you.
