Reflections for Military Police Officer Robert Bruce Lambert

Officer Lambert, you have not been forgotten. Rest in peace.

I remember this case very well, I arrived at the 21st MP Co Ft Bragg, NC 2 years after Sgt Lambert was killed. This incident was drilled into my head as a rookie MP so when ever I frisked a prisoner I always had his death in the back of my mind. I belief he watched over me throughout my law enforcement career, RIP Sgt Lambert.

What a sad story...to make it through combat in Vietnam only to be killed by a bum in the county booking area. What a senseless loss. I was assigned to this same duty while I was on medical hold at Ft. Bragg after returning from Iraq several years ago and this good Soldier is still remembered for his sacrifice and bravery. Thank you SGT Lambert and please keep an eye on us down here. "Of the Troops and for the Troops!" (MP Regimental motto)
