Agent Gentleman,
On today, the 112th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice as a LEO. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. Like some of the other people who have left reflections here, I too am angered that your murderer was only sentenced to ten years in prison.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 108th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace

Special Agent Gentleman, today marks the 104th anniversary of your death at the hands of some petty thug who was stealing coal no less. COAL! Was getting arrested for that crime worth taking the life of a law enforcement officer? Apparently that guy thought so and wasn’t really proven wrong when convicted of manslaughter. Disgraceful.

Agent Gentleman (and I can only assume you were a gentleman) you gave your life while protecting one of the most vital parts of the American economy and one of the reasons this country is as wonderful as it is today. Men and woman like yourself who watch over our railroads are a very special breed of cop and we all owe you a dept of gratitude, especially when that effort has such tragic results. You truly are a hero.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

I am the great-grandson of your brother Williama and currently work for the same company you did, Union Pacific Railroad. After extensive research we discovered your history. I worked with Dennis Jenson, UPRR Police Chief, to see you honored for your service.

Well done. Rest in Peace.
