I have been touched as I've gotten to know my distant cousin since finding him on this site. His name was Benjamin Franklin Bish and he went by Frank. He had a wife and a young daughter when he was killed. I'm proud of my family's law enforcement legacy with several family members currently serving and numerous who have retired. Thank you for your service Officer Bish, we'll take the watch.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 116th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Officer Bish - Three weeks ago, I stood in the State Assembly chambers when your name was one of almost 250 read off during a motion regarding next month's Police Memorial Week. You are not forgotten.

Thank you for you service to the people of Colorado Springs and the state of Colorado. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
