To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 136th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Deputy Mays Sir,
May you know that you are being remembered today. That your memory will remain with us forever. One Hundred and Thirty One years have passed, since your life was taken, yet you are thought of today still, as one of our Fallen Hero's. Deputy Mayes, you have stood at the portals of Heaven and watched and greeted many Fallen Hero's who since have walked through those gates. How amazed you must have been when you talked to the others and they told you about how things had changed in our Country. Everything but our Hero's, each of you did your best to protect us, sacrificed your lives for our freedom. I thank you and I salute you Sir. Rest in peace, and know that today I honor you.
