Rest in Peace Officer Marshalik. It's your turn to patrol the streets of heaven. I left my position as Reserve Sergeant with the St. Francis Police Department in Minnesota to spend more time with my family, but I miss it everyday! Yesterday you gave your life to try to save someone else. I thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

I am a retired NYC Health & Hospitals Corporation Police Officer and former Nassau County Auxiliary Police Officer. I have never ever forgotten what it was to be an Auxiliary Police Officer and I am outraged that this heroic young man with dreams was brutally cut down. I will work hard to try to end this injustice to Auxiliary Police Officers in New York State that denies their "Right" to carry firearms while on duty. Auxiliary and Reserve Officers in the other 49 states have their right to carry firearms while on duty, whereas New York State still denies their rights under the antiquated Civil Defense Act of 1950 and from strong lobbying and large contributions to politicians by Patrolmen's Benevolent Associations throughtout New York State. I make this promise that I will work very hard so that other officers like Eugene will be able to defend themselves against the criminals they encounter. Eugene, you have served the People of the City and State of New York very well and showed that the Auxiliary Police are the best volunteers in the United States and may you rest in peace, and G-d Bless You and your partner for your dedicated service. I promise that I will work to see this injustice to Auxiliary Police Officers righted.

I am terribly saddened to hear of the loss of two more Auxiliary Police. These two Officers did their duty at an awful cost; they stopped a murderer but paid with their lives. God bless you and may you rest in peace.

Rest in peace brother for we will take it from here. Watch over your loved ones and keep them safe.
Here is a small part of something I wrote:
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death and though I mark on duty, my calls unknown, I fear no evil, for the majority are with me, nor do I worry of my own safety, all of this I do for the citizens of my community. An Officer’s family can be filled with worry and though they are strong, they know that their loved one may be placed in harms way.
Though I have made mistakes, accept me, as I accept you and show me the way …..Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
To all Officers, risking your life for the benefit of others and who are trying to make a difference, may God bless and keep you safe, for you are the pillar of stability in our community, the keepers of our safety and the ones who we will call if we ever need help. Hug your family, let them know what you feel inside, for they are the strength behind you, which allows you to endure. Lift your head high, knowing you have done your job.

The freedoms in our society come at a high cost, one higher than those on the outside can possibly fathom. To the families who have also paid that ultimate price, we will NEVER forget what your loved one did; and we will never forget you. You are a part of this, a part of us, in the fight to protect the weak, the tired, the young, and the old.( by Anonymous author )

“REMEMBER ME”
Law enforcement officers are, indeed, a special breed of people. Ask anyone on the street and they will tell you that they would not have our jobs for anything in the world. It takes something special to do what we do and at the same time be able to even contemplate retirement. We try to be optimists. Unfortunately, there are a few of us who will never make that date with retirement. By the very nature of our job, we are at risk everyday of losing our lives, either at the hand of some deranged individual or in some other situation that we, by virtue of our occupation, may be unable to avoid. Some people have recognized the hazardous duties we involve ourselves in, the risks we take, and the pride we take in accomplishing that job. There is National Law Enforcement Week, dedicated to us who gladly accept the responsibility of protecting the citizens in our respective jurisdictions. National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Day is dedicated to those who gave their lives in the line of duty. These are but two examples of remembrances specifically for law enforcement personnel. Remembrances that come but once a year. We should remind fellow officers of another type of remembrance, one that will last a lifetime. Sooner or later, a doctor will pronounce us dead. It is inevitable. Regardless of whatever happens, death is the end we will all have to face.

HERO'S" THAT'S ALL THAT CAN BE SAID.ITS SCARY ENOUGH TO PURSUE AN ARMED FELON EVEN (WHEN ARMED YOURSELF) BUT FOR THESE TWO HEROES TO CHASE THIS PIECE OF HUMAN WASTE UNARMED IS TOTALLY HEROIC.THERE ARE NOT TOO MANY NEW YORKERS OUT THERE WHO WOULD HAVE THE GUTS TO DRESS UP IN A REAL POLICE UNIFORM UNARMED AND UNPAID TO PROTECT THIS CITY. BAD ENOUGH, THE REAL POLICE IN THIS CITY ARE NEARLY WORKING FOR FREE BECAUSE OUR LOVELY CITY PAYS THEM GARBAGE!!DONATIONS SHOULD BE MADE BY STORE OWNERS AND CIVILIANS OF THIS SO CALLED GREAT CITY TO PURCHASE BULLET PROOF VESTS FOR ALL THESE HEROIC AUXILIARY OFFICERS WHO PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE EVERY DAY AND NIGHT FOR FREE TO SERVE AND PROTECT BOTH GOOD PEOPLE AND ANTI-COP LIBERAL TRASH.
