Reflections for Patrolman First Class Brian Coleman
To the family, friends and comrades of PFC Coleman:
Brian is in Heaven. He awaits all of you through the glory of God for the day when all of you will see him again.
Remember his love, laughter and the good he tried to accomplish during his short tenure on this earth. He surrendered his life doing an honorable and noble job - serving and protecting the citizens of Alexandria.
As for the rest of us who did not know Brian in person - I offer this statement.
We have the watch, Brian. You are relieved of your duties. Your new job is to pray for your brothers-in-blue and watch over us as we go on shift. That kind of help will never be ignored.

I always appreciated the kindness Brian showed me after Glen's death. He will be sorely missed---a mother who knows.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Patrolman Coleman, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.
Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

Brian,
February 20th is a day that will never be forgotten within our department. I feel honored and priveledged to have worked with you, Jay and David. I know God has his reasons for the things that he does and it is not ours to question his actions. But I can tell him this, He has the best at his side now.
You just keep that grin on your face that you always had and make 'em keep wondering what your up to!
You'll be missed brother.
