Detective Dressell,

I'm at a loss for words.

My heart goes out to you, your wife, children, family, friends and your Department.

This tragic day brings back horrible memories of January 6, 2005 when my best friend from high school was killed in the line of duty: Columbus Police Officer Bryan S. Hurst.

I hope justice is served and your punk killer gets the death penalty.

Rest in Peace Brother in Blue.

Detective Dressell,

Being from the Detroit area, your loss is a loss to our immediate "family" as well. Southeast Michigan and Toledo are so closely related and so intertwined with each other that we will all mourn your passing.

Your bravery to pursue and continued fight till the end is something that you are born with. It is something that when read, inspires other Officers to dig deep into their inner selves and hope to find and know that Godforbid, one day too, they have the same ability and bravery.

Your loss will not be forgotten, and hopefully will be passed on by FTO's to all new recruits as an example of heroism and what is expected by all of us in Uniform.

God bless and God speed!

Detroit Metro-Wayne County Airport Police

I just wanted to say how devastating this is. Keith was just an all around class act. I never heard him say anything bad about anybody. I worked nights at the Clerk's Office for 7 years. Keith would come in to drop off paperwork. Even though the job was dangerous, he always made it out be that he was having a good time. He enjoyed doing what he did. My heart and prayers go out to his family. Keith was a fantastic guy. May he rest in peace...... Juli Schwartz
