I sit here thinking of how I remember you Tony. The first thing that pops in my head is that big ol' smile as you walked into the Honor Guard bay. The stories and memories we have from the H.G. brighten the days up. I will never forget the Ravioli Incident. Now that you are gone it will never be the same.
You always strived to be the best and never gave up. You trained others to do what no one wanted to do. We dealt in death day in and day out. Your dream was always of Law Enforcement. I salute you for making your dream come true. I weep openly knowing that you can not continue here on earth.
I leave you this for you my brother. God Bless.
THE JUDGEMENT:
The Officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass.
Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my church have you been true?
The officer squared his shoulders and said,
No Lord, I guess I aint,
Because those of us who carry badges
Can’t always be a saint.
I’ve had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was rough,
And sometimes I’ve been violent
Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny, that wasn’t mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got to steep.
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I’ve wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don’t deserve a place, among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.
If you’ve a place for me here, Lord,
It needn’t be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t….I’ll understand.
There was silence all around the throne,
Where the saints often trod.
As the officer waited quietly
For the judgement of his God.
“Step forward now, Officer.
You’ve born your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on heaven’s streets,
You’ve done your time in hell.”

Another senseless loss. To the Holly family, and Officer Holly's girlfriend, I extend my deepest condolences. I was told of this tragedy by a friend with the Gilbert, AZ police department, and when he wrote of the details, I couldn't help but think of how similar it was to Trooper Calvin Jenks' senseless and untimely death. Like Officer Holly, Calvin was 24 years old and was shot and killed on 1/6/07 by the passenger in a vehicle he had stopped.
I'm sure it's a difficult time for all of you, but know that Anthony is in a much better place, patrolling the golden streets of Heaven with all the other fallen officers. I'm married to an officer, and I hope they are all watching out for my husband.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the family of Officer Anthony Holly,
I cannot say I understand your pain for that would be assuming to much. However, as a mother of a son who desires to dedicate his life to serving the people of his community I am beginning to understand the very real concerns you lived with on a daily basis and I must admit that for that reason I didn't want my son to enter law inforcement. Still as a mother of a son whose family will soon be moving to Glendale AZ I thank our gracious Lord each day for brave young men such as your son. Had it not been for my son and his family moving to your city to assume the job of principal in one of your parochial schools, I'm sure I would never have even heard of your loss. Please forgive me. However, I thank God for His allowing me this insight. It truly is a small world, for the officer who held Anthony in his arms as he died is the husband of a dear friend's daughter. I know from her father that Nedd and Katie grieve more than words can express. Respect for these young men should always be foremost in our thoughts as we keep them in our daily prayer --- both by name and also by the position they hold and the job they undertake. Not all enemies are on distant shores. Therefore, dedicated God fearing men risk their lives daily as they defend us and provide us with a safe place to raise our children and grandchildren. The words thank you seem so very inadequate at such a time, but they are all I can say. May our gracious Lord give you the peace that only He can give and may He ease you aching heart. I will keep you in my prayers. And know that Anthony John Holly is in a far better place. God bless your family. In His Name, Mrs. Linda E. Sielaff
Christian Mother of two committed sons
Mother of Police Academy Recruit & of soon to be Glendale residents.

Officer Holly and family,
Though many miles seperate us, the circumstances affecting our families are tragically similar. Our son and brother Calvin, age 24, of the TN Highway Patrol was shot and killed in January by murderous criminals at a "routine traffic stop". He, too, had been an officer for two yrs. We were horrified when a relative from Phoenix e-mailed us with the news of Officer Holly. His service to the Glendale P.D.,community, and to the U.S.in Iraq will never be forgotten.
We share your pain and advise that you trust in the Lord and prayer to get you through this difficult time. Also, focusing on the good memories of him will help uplift the family. Also, our prayers will be with you when you begin the difficult journey throught the judicial system. Ours, too, is only beginning.
Sincerely,
Norm, Carla, Corey Jenks
