Reflections for Police Officer Anthony Jon Holly
I did not know Tony but he truly was blessed. My husband and I rode in the tribute to Tony on April 21, 2007. He led the procession proudly and watched over all of us as we rode for him. The most touching part was pasing his sub station. God bless you and yours. May I meet you in Heaven; you are truly an angel.

My husband and I rode on Saturday April 21, 2007 in the motorcyle rememberance. What a touching tribute. Neither my husband nor I knew Office Holly, but he has touched the hearts of many. When the procession rode past his sub station, I don't think there was a dry eye. We will certainly do this motorcycle run yearly in memory of him.

Tomorrow we ride for you Brother Tony and your bike will lead the way. The torch you carried flickered for but a moment as others proudly picked it up and carried it forward in your honor. You will be seen by all riding high on your bike as you once again lead the way with your smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones as you watch over us on “your” ride. Look down upon all of us and know you are not forgotten as we take yet another ride for a fallen hero who passed too soon.

Although it's been such a short time since your death, Even I cant help but think that you were taken away from everyone and especially us in law enforcement in such an extremely short time and although I saw you and met briefly for like a couple of minutes even I could tell that you had such a special gift to give to all of us and it was just so infectious to every body. If there was something that I felt that can be learned from your passing, I think it would be "Live Life to the Fullest and Live Every Moment and Leave Nothing to Chance!" that is the lesson I have learned and to always cherish the memories that we have as people. As I watched your funeral service I listened to people talk about how you fell in love with the girl next door and I looked my girlfriend and she told me "Yes Baby! You fell in love with me too and I realized that she was also my next door neighbor and I also fell in love with the girl next door and I realized that your spirit, your way of living life has left such an outstanding impression on all of us and for that I thank you. Myself along with my girlfriend send our condolences to your family and your girlfriend as well and I thank you for your service to this great community that I am proud to live in. You have carried with you and left all of us with a special flame, one which hopes spreads across the law enforcement profession like a brush fire. I have promised myself that from now on that I will visit the diner where your mom and dad has owned (which I miss like crazy) regularly and I will be looking for your name at the Arizona Peace Officers Memorial Service in May.

Tony
Things just are not the same, you are truly missed. It is getting to be that time of year again where I first met you as we played volleyball.
Your family is awesome and my thoughts and prayers are with them.. The other day I was on a call for service when a nice lady approached me...she asked how I was doing and gave me a big hug...it was your mother and how I was touched by her strength that day.
RIP Brother and see you soon

Aloha Police Officer Anthony Jon Holly,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe, will NEVER be forgotten.
I personally pledge, (after one of Hawaii's own Honolulu Police Officer Steve Favela, lost his life last year in the line of duty protecting our Commander in Chief, President George W. Bush), to become a continuum; a sacred keeper of the ODMP light. That sacred light is in the form of an ODMP tribute. People from all walks of life, regardless of age, race, religion, profession, education, and geographical location can share here.
This "LIGHT" comes from within the heart and soul of every person who shares their memories, stories, and celebrations on behalf of each and every fallen officer. Every fallen officer is a hero. The ODMP; Officer Down Memorial Page gives us a place to come together and share our feelings as one family.
As we read the many heartfelt tributes left behind, may we find solace as we give solace to the families who have lost a loved one. May we build upon love and faith knowing that this “bridge of tributes” will carry each and every one of us through the pain and sorrow until we meet with our beloved one again.
Police Officer Anthony Jon Holly,
as we say in Hawaii, “You are`Ohana.” “You are family.” You are embraced as our own family member. No one will ever be able to replace you for you were unique and very special. No one, not in this lifetime. May God Bless you and keep you. May God allow you to rest in peace. I wish you, your loved ones, and your fellow officers peace and love beyond all understanding. I HONOR you today. You will NEVER be forgotten.
--“Your life is much more important than you can imagine.” -- Maya Angelou
** May this Hawaiian prayer give all those who read it comfort. **
THE PEACE OF " I "
KA MALUHIA O KA "I"
Peace be with you, All My Peace,
O ka Maluhia no me oe, Ku'u Maluhia a pau loa,
The Peace that is " I ", the Peace that is "I am".
Ka Maluhia o ka "I", owau no ka Maluhia,
The Peace for always, now and forever and evermore.
Ka Maluhia no na wa a pau, no ke'ia wa a mau a mau loa aku.
My Peace " I " give to you, My Peace " I " leave with you,

My thoughts and prayers are with P.O. Anthony Holly's girlfriend and family. As the daughter of a Police Sergeant and the girlfriend of a Patrolman, there is a deep sense of loss. To Patrolman Holly's girlfriend: there is an entire sisterhood of police wives and significant others that are behind you, stay strong.

Tony - I woould be lying if I said I didn't miss you every day. I am so grateful JESUS put you and your family in my life. I cherish the memories of us hanging out off duty, getting lunch, and talking about God. You certainly modeled the type of officer, brother, son, and friend I strive to be. Thanks for being the pinprick of light shining on darkness for all those who needed you. Every time you walked in the room, people knew JESUS was there, and when you left JESUS was seen leaving, too. Your pain is over, my brother, so revel in the magnificance of our Lord JESUS. See you soon.....jeff

I wrote a recommendation letter for Tony to become part of the Glendale Police Department back in November of 2005. It was Tony's dream to become a Glendale Police Officer. I got to know Tony while he was in Albuquerque serving in the Air Force. Tony was one of my best friends. I got to see him on February 15th, 2007 just days before he passed. I am very thankful for this. Tony is right now having a good time in heaven because Tony has a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Tony,
A day does not go by that we dont think of you and see your smile in the bright sky. We look back on the vollyball games we played and the great times that we had and we miss you tremendously. But we know that you are in GREAT hands and you are looking down on us and laughing at us for being so upset by your passing, you would have said that you werent worth crying over, but you are. We have lost a great friend and an amazing Officer, the City of Glendale wont be the same with out you!
Love you Tony
Miss you everyday!

Anthony Holly Family,
My thoughts are with the family at this most difficult time. I am so sorry for the loss and pain this causes all of you. My husband and I were visiting Mesa during this time. We too lost our 29 yr old son as a police officer in West Yellowstone in Oct 06 due to a vehicle accident while on duty. Our heartfelt sympathy to your family. Remember he was a special person. He was so strong and his special words of not fearing this work meant so much! Blessings to all of you.
