I asked one of my Facebook groups and was told he is buried on Water Tower Hill.

Mike Victory, here. Another great-grandson of Sheriff Vicory. I second the request of my cousin Rex, if there is any information on Sheriff Vicory's burial location and history of his service, I would be grateful.

I have heard several stories on this. I'm proud to be the Great Grandson of such a brave man. Our name has been changed to Victory, since my grandfather was only 2 weeks old when his dad the sheriff was killed. I would love to know where this man is buried. We have been looking for many years so we could pay our respects to such a great man.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 130th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

128 YEARS LATER, AND YOU ARE NOW BEING HONORED FOR YOUR COURAGE. I KNOW THAT IT TOOK EVERY OUNCE OF YOUR STRENGTH TO HAVE TO GO AFTER A FORMER BROTHER OFFICER OF THE LAW. HOWEVER, YOU SWORE TO UPHOLD THE LAW, AND YOU COURAGEOUSLY DID JUST THAT. IT IS SAD THAT THIS SUSPECTS 5 YR OLD CHILD HAD TO DIE DUE TO HIS FATHERS COWARDLY ACT.
REST IN PEACE SHERIFF HARVEY. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
JOB WELL DONE.

Sheriff Vicory:
I am proud of your dedication and courage. I am also glad that your dedication and bravery is finally being recognized, albeit almost 128 years after the fact. Brave men like you blazed the trail of this crazy job for us in modern times, and you did so under very harsh and scary conditions. God speed.
