Brother, no other actions could possibly define the word hero the way that yours does. I have been a Policeman longer than you were alive.I've seen many selfless acts of bravery in 34 years on the street. I've seen men younger than you, older than you, struck down and forgotten too soon by those that we serve.

Rest in peace, secure in the knowledge that those who wear the badge will never forget your courage, your dedication and your sacrifice. You stood for something. You made us proud. You made a difference.
