Sergeant Scottile you are forever remembered for your 24 years of courageous and valiant service. Thank you my brother for leading by example, and being a lasting influence to a son who wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps. Rest in Peace, and may God bless your family always.

Stopping by to leave a tribute to a great friend who is missed dearly. So many good times together, too many laughs to recount. Try as I might to cleanse that day from my memory it remains, and always will. Continue your vigilance over us until we meet again. See ya buddy.

Another year older and another year without you here on this earth. I think about you always. We have gotten a lot of rookies out of the Academy and I make sure I tell about you and the man your were. They just don't have a clue the fun we had working together. I miss you my friend.

As I sit here tonight with the Flu wishing I could have stopped by your grave today, I can't believe it has been 5 years. There is never a day that goes by that I don't think of you or wonder what you would have done in a certain situation as I try to encourage and lead by example for my Troopers. I miss you friend!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 5th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Laslater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all of those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Rest In Peace.

Hey Dad,

Can't believe its been five years since you were taken away from us. So many things have happened that you were not able to share with us....I graduated three times from college, Nick and Audrey got married, Nick is getting his Master's degree, Nick and Audrey are having a baby...those are just the major things happening. I wish everyday that I could talk to you, ask for your opinion on decisions that I've made. I wish I could hug you and listen to you tell your stories and hear you laugh. I wish I could get your approval on the guy I'm interested in. I wish I could hear you say that you are proud of me and that everything will be okay. Mom and I decided that this year we are going to move foreward...not move on...but move foreward. I'm so tired of crying myself to sleep most nights and being angry with God for taking you away. I know now that I shouldn't be angry with Him and you wouldn't approve of that. I love you dad and I as much as I wish you were here with us, I know now that you are in an amazing place and I know that you are always with me.

Nick,
It seems crazy that 5 years has past. I remember when you made Sergeant and how excited and happy you were. Well, this month, I too may be getting my third stripe but I only wish you were here to share the enjoyment that I shared with you when you got promoted. I hope to be as good as a supervisor as you were.
To the great memories we shared and the ones that I will never forget........your friend
