Troy may you rest in PEACE. It is such a tragedy that on Tuesday, January 9th, 2007. You served and protected your city and should have been able to go home in PEACE. In life we are never suppose to question why GOD has called us home, we are suppose to be happy that someone goes to a better place and away from this HELL on earth.
My deepest prayers and sympathy go out to you family. Especially to your mother and your children. It is EXTREMLY sad that your boys lost their mother and now they are without a father. That is a lot for children to have to go through.
You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.

I am very saddened to hear of the senseless death of this fine officer, a brave public servant, a father and a friend. It is particularly heart-breaking to think of his children who now are parentless. I pray for his family, friends and colleagues to find strength in this time of loss. Cry not for the death but celebrate the life of one of the guardians of the oppressed, a shepherd of the weak and enforcer over the lawless. This good peace officer now walks a beat on Heaven's district for St. Michael. Rest easy brother, we have the watch from here. Be careful out there sister and brother officers.

Troy, here I sit, thinking about the good times we've shared. I only wish I would have told you how much I really cared. You left without a good-bye, and my heart is full of pain. You've found a better place and hopefully I'll see you again. I saw you not long ago, and we promised to stay in touch. A call from me to you, you din't ask for much. You were truly a good friend, a father, and a son, and it seemed that your life had only just begun. A true soldier you were and you fought a good fight, and you kept on fighting, even on that dreaded night. I wish that I hadn't put off times you wanted to share, I guess I just assumed that you would always be there. You meant so much to many, and you were very well liked, so don't worry about your kids, they are going to be alright. So I have to say good-bye but I don't know quite how, I guess I'll just have to say so long, so long for now.

I am so sorry this has happened to your family. To his sons, your father is a hero and will be remembered forever by everyone. He will live on through you and of stories told about him. It was a year ago that my daughter and I were going through the loss of my husband. And so my daughter will remember her daddy through the stories I tell of him. We will never truly understand Gods plan but we have to trust that He knows what He is doing. I will always remember.

My heart just aches for your two sons...both parents gone now. I wish I could protect them from their pain. I know your fellow officers with the Baltimore PD, as well as your family, are making sure they are always surrounded by love. I hope they can someday find peace knowing their Dad was so very brave and died so honorably. You two will be in my thoughts always.

Dear Troy:
What can I say to you other than that which you deserve: you are one of America's heroes, forever immortalized.
My heart aches for your sons, to have been robbed by a coward, of the joy of hanging with Dad. And for you, having been denied the blessings of watching your sons grow into men, or talking to them about love and life. You have been robbed of watching those boys make their first sounds of manhood, or taking their first shave.
I will not address the coward who did this at this time in this reflection. No sir, for to do that, would be to justify that animal's existence. But rather, I would like to offer my sincere appreciation to a fallen brother for doing a job so well. My condolences are extended to your family, and my disgust that another one of my brothers has had to pay such a dear price.
In closing, I ask Almighty God to watch over your sons, to keep you close to His heart, and allow you to walk with Him as you patrol the streets of Heaven. Amen
