I came on this site to remember a friend who was killed 5 months ago on Aug 6, 2006 and I saw the world lost another brave officer. We never met, but as a dispatcher I still ache to know that one more of the family is gone. God bless your family as they go through this terrible time. To lose one so young defies explanation. God speed.

Makes me wished I worked with you and maybe could have been there to have helped. I am truly sorry and hope the cowrads that are not worthy to mention here are delt with in the most of we can give them. I see its raining today truly a sign of weeping angels as you are carried home for truly God awaits with open arms for such a Valiant warrior.

My prayers go out to Trooper Jenk's family and friends. May God watch over all and each law enforcement officer doing his/her job to protect the good people and the same scum that took his life. It is sad that we are losing so many officers then allowing constitutional rights to human garbage such as these two criminals. You will not be forgotten brother Jenks, may you rest in peace.

Our family sends out our deepest condolences to the family of Trooper Jenks & the TN Highway Patrol. To the family of Trooper Jenks, lean & take comfort in the love you will be shown by the TN Highway Patrol. They are a great group & will be by your side - I'm not certain how our family would have ever made it through Todd's death without them. We will be thinking of you & may God wrap his arms around you. Trooper Jenks, may you rest in peace.

Here we are again reading reflections sent by other officers to help the family, loved ones and all who wear the badge of law enforcement. So young to be taken from us, but we know that when he put on his uniform that he did it with pride and new not if he would be coming home to family.
"A Part Of America Died",
Somebody killed a policeman today,
And part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect that shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights.
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids,
And spend many long lonely nights.
The beat he walked was a battle field too
just as if he had gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
In your town or mine,
While we slept in comfort behind locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And stands at each new rookies' side.
He answered the call,of himself and gave his all,
And a part of America died.

We know that he is now with God and will be watching all his fellow officers to keep them safe.
