To the family, friends, and officers that knew Trooper Jenks, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

Trooper Jenks,
My heart broke as I saw the ticker on FOX NEWS yesterday morning...TN Trooper killed. I have been praying for your family, friends & co-workers since seeing that. My first husband's name was Calvin also and he too was a state trooper - in N.C. and was killed on I-40 about 28 miles from TN. I hate that your family is beginning this difficult journey. I pray the Lord will wrap his loving arms around them and carry them through the days & years ahead. Your wife will never wake up feeling the same again...she can only try to learn what "normal after 1-6-07" is for her. Thanks Trooper for your service. My Calvin will show you around heaven!

I first heard of your passing over our police computers. Rest assured no one remotely responsible for this cowardly act will go unpunished, we here in Austin caught people associated with the cowards up there. Your death reaches the far ends of the earth, through your brothers, and the wicked can not run from justice. To your family, and mostly your wife, times will be hard, but please when you feel lonely, come to this site and read how much Calvin has touched all of us, and you will remain in our prayers. God bless you.
