Reflections for Trooper Calvin Wayne Jenks
The family is in my prayers every night as well as fellow officers. The dangers are known before you take your step forward into the academy yet you push on.. you lose friends, family, fellow officers, and or you may one day have to take a life yourself, and lets not even get into that very first traffic stop after the news, yet here you are.. and you push on. Calvin is my husbands cousin that I have not had the honor of meeting yet, I have only been in the family a few years now, but I could not be more proud to call him a hero and a fellow officer. God speed big guy

Revelation 14:13; And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
May the glow of God's love light your path and the warmth of embrace welcome you into his kingdom. May he bring your family peace and comfort. Rest in Peace my brother.

I would just like to express to the family that you lost good Man, Officer, and Friend. I work part time at Auto zone here in Lewisburg, and Calvin would come in and we would talk about police work. He loved his job you could tell it by the way he got into when he started telling me stories about it. We all lost a good one . I just want to wish good blessing to your family from mine . God bless you all

After reading everything I could find out about you, today I found what I was looking for. The Pastor who did your premarital counseling said you became a Christian the
day before your wedding. Hallelujah! Making a decision to follow Jesus Christ is more important that
deciding your profession, who you will marry, whether
or not you will have children, etc. Only that decision determines where you will be after you die so no other
decision has such lasting consequences. Now I am at
peace knowing that you are at peace and one day I will
meet you in person and thank you for your ultimate
sacrifice. This must give your widow much peace, too
knowing that you will see each other again. Thank you
for making such a wise choice just months ago. Your
life just got better for eternity and I rejoice for you, altho
you will be missed until all those who love Christ are
reunited in Him. I know you won't be patrolling the streets of gold because only the redeemed are there.
So now you can serve the Lord and fulfill the plans He
has for you. God bless you!

I am proud to stand beside you on the front lines brother. We will continue the fight, and your sacrifice is more important now than ever. You will not be forgotten, I promise you. Thank you for your bravery. I am proud to call myself a Trooper because of warriors like you who are willing to walk into the shadow of death and fear no evil. A strong man servant of good who will not swerve from the path of duty. May God bless your family.

Calvin it was an honor to have trained and served with you. We used to joke about you being Colonel some day. I would have been honored to work for you:) I only wish I could have been there to help you on that dark highway Saturday night. Your funeral was beautiful and the citizens you swore to protect lined the streets on the way to Culleoka. You would have been proud.
Rest in Peace buddy...We'll take it from here...4462 10-7

Trooper Jenks, may those responsible for your murder pay dearly for it. They have robbed Law Enforcement of a fine young man with a long career ahead of him, but more importantly, they took you from those who knew and loved you most.
God Bless and may you Rest in Peace, Brother.

My prayers go out to the family. My husband is a Sgt. for the Oakland Police Dept. And I don't think he would have it any other way.I stand by my husband thru the good and the bad.I think being a police officers wife is the hardest job on the force. You stood by Calvin's side thru the good and the bad and I don't think he would have had it any other way.My thoughts and prayers go out to the family thru this hard time. It's not how they have fallen but how they are remembered.

To the family of Trpr. Jenks, my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of mourning. Trpr. Jenks did not die in vain and is patrolling the highways of heaven which someday we will travel down and meet again. It is ridiculous that we lost him for such a senseless act. We have another angel watching over us.

Though I only talked to you a couple of times and really didn't know you, I believe all of the people who say that you were a wonderful person and a great officer. This loss is such a tragedy and it has left your family, friends, co-workers, and anyone with appreciation for law enforcement in turmoil. I appreciate the courage in all of the men and women who put their lives on the line. You were one of God's angels sent here to serve and protect the people of Tennessee. I know your family, friends, and co-workers feel they have one more angel to watch over them. No one has to worry about anything bad happening to you in heaven. I hear that it is a wonderful place. May that comfort your family and loved ones, especially your wife. My thoughts and prayers are with those you left behind.
