Your heroism and service is honored today, the 106th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Dear Johnnie:
Though sadly 101 years have had to pass before you received the recognition that you so richly deserve, nonetheless, you now have it. In all this time, police officers are still being gunned down by cowards no different than in your case.
Your service and sacrifice, is what has helped to forge this "band of brothers" that we, your fellow officers, are proud to be a part of. But your death shall not have been in vain, but rather, shall live on as a testimony to the fact that when we pin on our badges, we the police, are the defenders of our society...even onto death.
Thank you for your dedication, and may your ancestors always be cognizant of the fact that have a REAL hero in their bloodlines. God Bless you, and God bless our police officers...everywhere.
