as a friend of dwayne i would like to say i loved him and his family. i got to ride with him on duty and watch the enjoyment in his eyes and listen to how much he loved his job. he would be the first to help on duty or off duty, he was a great father too his kids and a wonderful husband to his wife. he would talk about his life as an officer and family man and never stop smiling. he as brothers in christ, was loved by my whole family, for the help he gave us from the day we meet, he help like a brother of blood. we love you Dwayne Freeto.
GOD BLESS THE FREETO FAMILY

Officer Freeto, you and your loved ones are in my prayers. God bless you for the courage, strength and impact you have had not only to your country, but to the world..Yet another selfish, ignorant drunk driver claims an innocent life...I'm sure I speak on behalf of my fellow officers when I say that we will continue to work hard to keep our streets safe. You are truly a hero and will NOT be forgotten.

Officer Freeto performed his duty well. Thank you for your service to the people. No one can know exactly what your family-both blood and law enforcement-is feeling right now, but I hope they can be comforted (even the least bit) by the thoughts and prayers of others. My husband lost a friend and a brother in blue this year, also. We have blue lights up still at our house to remember him, and I will also remember you all when I see them. Peace be with you.

Dwayne I know you died doing something that you loved. I just pray for Karen and the girls and all of your brothers and sisters in the FW PD. You where more than just my squad leader you where a great friend. I will never forget the time we had together. You are a true hero.

Karen if the girls ever want to hear some stories about there dad and what he did for me just let me know I will be glad to talk with them and show them some pictures of us in Bosnia.

Karen also remember if you need anything I am here and willing to help you in any way I can. I know that is what Dwayne would do and I try as much as I can to take what I have learned from him and apply that to my life everyday.

God Bless you all.

What can I say. I was taking by suprise when I heard your name yesterday morning on the radio. I could not believe what I heard. It hurts so much to know you are now gone and we never got to go to dinner together with our families. I will always remember you being there for me back in Dec. of 1998 when I got the news about my cousin. We where in Bosina together. That is when you became my Squad leader. However you where a friend way before that. I remember me and you talking about us playing baseball against each other in high school. I also remember you telling me how much you loved your job as a police officer. I know you loved the Army and this country and it really kills me to know that you are gone. I know where you are and I know one day we will get to have that dinner only this time it will be at God's table. Until then brother I will pray for Karen and the girls. Also Karen if you read this I will be here for you if you need anything.
