Dear Officer Freeto,

In this time of tragedy, my thoughts and prayers fall upon your wife and children. We as a department were so lucky to have an officer with as much courage and love for the job as you. Over the past few days I have been fortunate enough to speak with several of your classmates and learn of the outstanding person you were. I remember dispatching for you while you were in training and once you were on your own on the South side, you were always ready to copy and never complained even when sent to a boring report call. No matter how little or much we knew you it seems that you have left a lasting impression on all of us. Your untimely death is a true tragedy. You and your beautiful family will always remain in my thoughts and prayers. I am filled with a great deal of pride just being associated with such an amazing department. May God keep his hand on your loved ones, and let your soul rest in peace.

We stand for a fallen officer
And hold our heads low
We wonder why this has happened again
It has happened to many times in the past

We can't believe our ears when we hear that
such a wonderful person has been taken away
And has left behind his loved one,
And his little children too

But God decided that it was time for one of his Children to
Come home and be with him once again
God knows he has put many of us through some hard times
But he sees it as a lesson we all have to learn

We all have to learn to live with hurts and regrets
We are all hurt because some guy had his regret of drinking and driving.
The fallen Officer knew he was loved by so many.
But his journey ended before it began.

He had lived his life not knowing what was ahead of him,
And know he has come to know that he lives above us watching down
And he will now become a Guardian Angel for many of us here on Earth

But we all know that this Fallen Officer had passed away doing what he wanted to do.
He will be loved by many
And he awaits up with God for his Loved one to come join him someday

You will be missed!!!

I will be strong and courageous, I will not be terrified, or discouraged; for the lord my God is with me wherever I go. “Joshua 1:9”
The Lord asked, Police Officer, what do you ask of me? Lord, give me courage and give me strength. Give my fellow brothers the courage to do what is right, the wisdom to discover it and the will to enforce it. I ask you to look over those I have served. Those I have spent my life defending. The Lord stated “Those who live in the service of others will live forever.”
Always remember legendary acts may be forgotten but HEROES.......... LIVE.......... FOREVER.”

In my prayer each and everyday I ask for Angels to protect my son,my department,as well as all brother officers, as they do their job. Police and firefighters are dedicated, special human beings who without them this world would be unbearable.
I will from now on call upon Officer Freeto (who has made it to the rank of "Officer Angel")to help us out. God bless and watch over your families.

I just wanted to let Mrs. Freeto and her two Daughters know how sorry I am for their loss and at this time of the year I am not thinking of christmas and my family I am thinking of them. I am only 33yrs old and I am trying to become a Police Officer in the City of Allen and being a Police Officer is the highest honor anyone could ever hold and those of us who become Officers are a very special breed, it takes heart and Officer Freeto had the heart and he was helping another human being in need of help and that's what we do. God Bless all of you and your families during this time and may Officer Freeto rest in peace.
