Ken, I am still in shock and still cannot believe you are gone. I enjoyed our time we spent working together down in the creek. You are a great cop and even better friend. I will remember you having a smile on your face whether it was at work or talking with you at 24 hour fitness or us having a drink together.

I know how happy Heidi made you. I can remember how you and I would give each other such a hard time on "who was getting married first"

You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten brother.

As a new officer I never got to meet you but, I have heard many great things and I was told you were a great cop. Rest in peace. Officer Ken Jordan keep an eye on all us Cops. End of shift....

Officer Jordan;
After my shift tonight, I went to the memorial at the spot where you gave your all. I ran into about half a dozen CSPD officers who were in your academy class. Darned if I could remember their names. Fine officers, all of them. They're taking it pretty hard, as you could expect. But they're holding it together, because they have to. They said thanks for coming out, and in the midst of their sorrow they told me, "Make sure you tell your guys we appreciate their support." Although I didn't know you personally, I want CSPD and your family to know we are all praying for your personal and PD family. We are crying with you. We will be there to honor and remember you Monday.
Thank you for your sacrifice. Those words sound so hollow. There is no other profession where a person seeks out bad people, ready to take a life or give their own, with no notice, so others may live safe comfortable lives, all on a civil servant's salary.
Thank you for your sacrifice. May God comfort your family and the Law Enforcement Family that now has the watch. Godspeed, my brother. Tell Hugh, CC and Jared we say hello. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

My prayers go out to your family. You have given the ultimate sacrifice protecting our families. You have made us feel at ease knowing you are watching over and protecting our families while we are away serving in other countries. I can not express my deepest sorrow for losing a brother, a comrade in arms. Our jobs may have been different but in the end it is in the honor to serve. May God bless you and your family for your service. I guess God needed your service else where.

To Officer Jordan: Thank you for 6 years of dedicated service. You did your job well and your watch is over. May you forever rest in peace.... To the Jordan Family: Ken was a wonderful person & I'm sure you are very proud of him. He is gone but his memory will continue in all that knew & loved him. My dearest Kenny (sorry, you'll always be "Kenny" to me). My heart grieves your departure. I will forever miss you. I have only our memories as kids to hold on to. Camping every summer in Wisconsin, hanging out every weekend, riding around the neighborhood, getting into mischief. You've grown up to be quite the man...I'm so proud of all your accomplishments and moved by the lives you have touched.

I know that you're in a better place and I pray that everyone can find some peace in knowing that.

I love you and miss you Kenny...as do the rest of our "family" here in Chicago.

As a native, thanks for your service. My son knows what integrity means by your sacrifice.

Thanks.

Sometimes you get the bad guy and sometimes he
gets you.
The shot that killed you also killed a part of us.
It killed a part of your family, both at work and at home.
It killed your dreams, your hopes, your future.
But it must not kill our determination to make this
world a better place or our will to make a difference.
Thank your for your service. Time will not diminish
your sacrifice.

You told me to get out, you gave me a list of people that could help. You looked at me and said "If you don't get out, he's going to kill you, you know that" and I knew you were right. Thank you for taking the time to talk to a scared young woman who needed help when everyone else just looked past her. You saved my life. I am eternally grateful for that.

RIP, Officer Jordan.

Officer Jordan,
I've had a lifelong dream of being a police officer. As if I needed another one, here it is. It is because of officers like you that normal people become police officers. I am proud to say that I've been accepted to the Pikes Peak Law Enforcement Academy. I promise to you and everyone like you that I will make my career as honorable as you have, and follow the example you have set. This forum has been amazing to read. You have shone brightly in your chosen profession; that much is obvious through the tear jerking reflections left here by fellow officers, friends and family, and even people who you may have never known and never knew you. It is a proud family and you have made them ever proud. Thank you, thank you, thank you with everything I have. You are my example. Take care of us from above. I will have your back for as long as God allows.
