There are no words to express the deep, deep sadness all of us are feeling for you, Heidi, and your family. My hope is that they find comfort in the many wonderful memories of you. To lose another courageous HERO who touched so many lives, it's just unimaginable. Your brothers & sisters in blue will continue to fight, through their pain, so that evil does not win. Please protect them from above, and know that you will always be in our hearts.

I couldn't believe it when I got the call. Although I didn't know you personally, you and your division worked hand in hand with us. It is just the same as losing one of our own. We are all family and we have all felt the loss in the deepest parts of our souls. Thank you for your dedication and devotion to duty. I salute you, rest in peace brother.

To the Family of Officer Ken Jordan,
My heart sincerly goes out to your family in your time of need. It makes me so sad, When I went to school Tuesday night(Remington College, I am a Criminal Justice student) we cried, I cant help but wonder if Lee feels any remource at all. I cant wait to be a cop and put criminals like Lee behind bars forever.Officer Jordan died doing what he loved, fighting crime, i know it wont bring him back but maybe it will help with the healing process.
My thoughts and Prayers are with his family and the entire Colorado Springs Police Department. For they lost a friend and a colleague.

Ken, what can I say? Just the other day we were talking about hunting and training your pup. I never could have believed, that was going to be the last time I would ever talk to or see you. You were a great friend and Officer. I will miss you greatly. Watch over us and I will see you again in time, Brother.

"A Part of America Died"
Somebody killed a policeman today,
and a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
will be buried with him at his side.

The suspect that shot him will stand up in court,
with counsel demanding his rights.
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids,
and spend many long, lonely nights.

The beat that he walked was a battle field too,
just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
to his name they will add a gold star.

Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
a cop put his life on the line.

Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
and he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call, of himself gave his all,
and a part of America died.

Ken,

I thoroughly enjoyed the times we worked together. You were the consummate professional and well respected by your fellow officers. You had an infectious positive attitude and a real passion for your profession. I wonder how many lives you saved? You deserved better.

Rest in Peace,

When I received the e-mail re: ken I was heard broken. As Kens former Martial Arts instructor I knew him quite well. My family and I, along with each of my students, would like to offer our sincere condolances to Kens family and associates. I will never understand the lack of respect some people have in regards to human life. God bless you Ken.

Officer Jordan, we'll be laying you to rest on Monday, it will such a dark day for all of us. CSPD looses another officer over some stupid senseless act. We are without your smile, your humor, your helping hand. This community has lost a great HERO, brother, friend, human beinging. Watch over all of us, keep us in your prayers, keep us safe from all the bad guys out there. Watch over all your brothers and sisters in blue, they will miss you, we will miss you..you will never, ever be forgotten....God help all of us get through this...

It's hard to believe that I just saw you, talked with you and Jason, gave you guys a big hug, just last weekend. I always loved seeing you and Jason's smiling face at Rumbay; you always knew how to make everyone smile. God took you away from us because you had fulfilled your duty and He needed you more than we did. You can now take care of all of our friends and family on the streets of Heaven! My prayers are with the Force, Ken's family, friends, and his girlfriend. Please come to me sometimes and, oddly enough, make fun of me like you used to. Godspeed!!

Ken, you were truly a hero to those who knew you.

There comes a time when we all must part but when you left you took our hearts, You were always so full of laughter that was your trade, I guess that accounted for all the friends you made. There were some who may have been closer to you, they came to appreicate the person you were and the things you would do. When you left the world somehow stood still, but we know it was God's will. Now you can rest, we love you Ken but God loves you best.
You will never be for gotten.

I thank God for my blessings, each and every day
But among these daily prayers,
There are things I forget to say
It often goes unnoticed, the sacrifice you make
And who would think, in just a second,
A hero’s life he’d take?
I can’t hide the anger, and all this pain I feel
The scariest thoughts in my head are
“Oh my God, it’s real.”
I dream of angels, dressed up in blue
I believe that there are angels,
Right now caring for you.
We’ll try to keep on living, but never will forget
Just how much your life meant,
And the promises you kept...

To protect and to serve, and put others before yourself.

It’s not right to show our hatred,
Because that makes us just as bad
But how can I contain myself, when inside I am so sad?
The memory makes me sick, and I want to make it right
We couldn’t tell, but for moment,
The whole world stopped that night.
I pray that you are up there, keeping watch from the skies
Because my Daddy is an angel, like you, in blue disguise.

In Saint Michael’s Arms

I proudly chose this life of mine
To wear a badge upon my chest
A member of this thin blue line
And to serve among the best

I’ve walked through blood and snow and heat
Helped put bodies in a sack
And fought with bandits on my beat
For those who can’t fight back

I’ve missed holidays and little league games
To guard the cities here on earth
Offered mine for those without a name
Because that’s what freedom’s worth

I’ve stood tall and straight in a sea of blue
While a flag draped coffin went by
Seen so many tears, and shed mine, too
As I’ve saluted a final goodbye

Yet for no special treatment will I pray
Until my final shift is done
When dispatched on that final day
To meet God’s only Son

I ask, Dear Lord, oh hear my plea
As your strength keeps me from harm
When I’m delivered unto Thee
Let it be in St. Michael’s Arms

Ken........give Jared our love. Enjoy the peace you so richly deserve.
