Reflections for Police Officer Kenneth Chua Jordan

It's cute to hear him say the middle name you both share. We miss you.

So he got one, a big one, a cow!! When he got back, he was acting like in 2002 for, "the big hunt!!!" We have already had some and yummy - the kiddos loved the steak. The Fall always an exciting time with changing of the seasons, birthdays, upcoming hunts. W.J. wants to visit, "Pooh's House," and wants to have a playdate with the cuddly bear - too cute!!! Thanks for being there - always. It is amazing how you are involved in the everday things, good to have you with us!!!!! UGH - miss you like crazy!!!!

My friend,

I wanted to wish you a happy
B-day. I went out to feed this morning and it was crisp out. The first sign of the upcomming season. It was always soo anticipated.... This time of year was always so special, but I don't have to tell you that. I just wanted to say that I miss you as much today as I ever have.

It is finally starting to get cooler, which means hunting season....go figure we have had major issues with the truck, but no picutres, I can't stand the evidence!! Amazing 2 of the kiddos are in school and W.J. is telling us what his name means - pretty amazing!!! You have a b-day coming up and I still feel like we are going to get a call from you, saying lets get together and BBQ with the, "big frosty mugs." Is there anything else better?!!!! Amazing how time keeps marching on and every Fall comes with hunting and the cooler weather, your b-day and then there is always the pause.......we chat often and know that you are always thought of.....My little Charlie pants is pretty fiesty and has started to growl at me.....kind of like your dog....;). Really?!! Have a good birthday and all of your favs and the big frosty mug!!!! Good vibes on the 13th, as he goes for SGT,but you knew that already!!! Miss and love you - XOXO - ME

I just saw a Pointer named Rebel at work – of course I was reminded of all of your stories about your dogs named Rebel. It still amazes me when something so simple, like a breed of a dog or a name will just take me back. It’s a good thing because it proves that you definitely left your mark in so many lives!

We cross ourselves going over the bridge. It makes me cry each time. So unfair, so cowardly, too early to loose you. Please watch over the guys & gals. Evil is so out there, guide them. My son is still haunted by that night. Bless those who come here for comfort. Peace to all.

We went to the Memorial last week for the first time. It was nice to go and be able to sit and think without all of the hustle and bustle of Police Week. There was a crew there trimming trees and their trucks were parked right in front of the panels for you and Jared. In one of the most gracious things I have ever seen someone do, without a word, they started their trucks up and moved them off of the concourse so we could sit and pay our respects. I was so deeply moved by their kindness. I'm sure they had a schedule to keep, but it was truly amazing to see complete strangers stop everything and let us have a few moments. There were SO many names and I was really taken back by that. You are truly in the company of some remarkable men and women. Thank you for the lessons you have taught me. I hope I have lived up to my promise. Please continue to watch over us and guide all of us down our chosen paths in life. May God always hold you family in His grace.

Ken, my boss's brother joined you yesterday having been killed in the line of duty. Watch over him. Share with him you humor and zest for life, and reassure him that his family will be okay. God bless all who serve.

Hey Ken.
It's been awhile since I've written on here but i have been thinking about you a lot lately. I just keep thinking about my life to this point and how much you have influenced it. I think you and Ashley would get along great. Some of the stuff I have done in Alaska was directly inspired by you and my life would be different if you hadn't been there for me. I saw the northern lights this morning and have scouted out some world class salmon runs for this coming summer. God I wish I could just call you up and tell you everything. We could borrow my friends snowmobile and be at a caribou herd in two hours or take a plane up a little further north and get a moose. We would have kicked ass and taken names up here. I wouldn't be up here if it wasn't for your take life for everything it is worth attitude. I am doing things people dream of doing and will never get the chance to do. I just miss you and want to thank you with all my being for everything you did for me. I miss you.

Ken, I cannot drive by the bridge without tearing up. I only knew of you, never had the pleasure of meeting you, but you live on. Keep your Department brother and sisters safe in this evil and dangerous city. Keep a watch over them, give them the wisdom to deal with everything you know they confront daily. Gone but never forgotten.
