God grant you and your co-workers, and family peace.

"Brothers"

Shoulder to shoulder
Standing side by side
Academy graduation
Beaming with pride.
Thoughts to the future
A career lies ahead
It’s all brand new
Nothing to dread
The years add up
So do the scars
Fights in streets
Alleys and bars
Get the job done
That’s what cops do
Whether you wear
Tan, gray or blue
Shoulder to shoulder
Standing side by side
Brothers are missing
Brothers have died
From across the nation
In towns large and small
Black shrouds remind us
Of those who gave all
The battle continues
Their deaths not in vain
Continue the fight
Victory to gain
When the war is over
And evil must hide
We will be shoulder to shoulder
Standing side by side

Kenny J, you don't know what I would do just to hear you tell me not to call you that right now. I never would have thought Saturday would have been the last time for me to introduce you as "Kenny" and to have listened you respond with, "Shanny, there are only two people who can call me that, my mom and you". Remember why I call you "Kenny". As much as I try to remember all of the good times, I can't seem to be able to see though all of my tears. All I can think about is you comforting me when I was training in the Creek, our times at Jack Quinns, Rumbay and mostly Vegas. Had I known that this last time in Vegas would have been my last vacation with you and the last vacation Andy and I took with the group, I wouldn't have taken it for granted. I always thought there would be another. Weren't we just talking about Boston for St. Patricks??? Kenny, you always believed in me and you have never waivered from our friendship and I can not tell you how much that has meant. Just know, my friend and my brother, that we are all here, following in your footsteps. We will see this to the end.

Jordan,

I can't believe it has been 24hours since that dreaded phone call so much has happened I don't even know where to begin. Your brothers and sisters in blue have been incredible as we both know they are.

I consider them to be my extended family and what an incredible one it is you would be so very proud!

Ruger and Trex are doin ok we are a team just your three girls as you called us. I miss you so much already.

I am so incredibly proud of you as a man and as an officer you were one of the best and you were one of the lucky few who got work in a job you loved and were so very good at.

I long for those arms of yours around me I find it so hard to believe that I will never feel them again.

We love you Jordan and you have my heart with you always.

H&K forever

Heidi

Sleep well our brother for the peaceful journey lies ahead. Awaiting you when you reach the gates of Heaven, a HERO's welcome and a warm bed. For St. Peter knows too well, another Officer reporting, who has served his time in hell. Walk peacefully in Heaven's streets, for this is now your beat.

Thank you for service to better out society. Thank you to your family for allowing you to grace us with your time and service on earth. My condolences to your family, may God watch over them and his angels them under their wings.

I want to say something that will ease the pain, but can't;
I want to say something that brings meaning, but can't;
I want to show that miracles can happen but don't know how to prove it in the wake of such tragedy.

When I heard the word I was in complete denial, "no not again!" I prayed and prayed till the final word was given and knew then that my prayers, as I requested them, were not answered.

We give Glory to God but still ask why? God has his will and we will never, ever understand it, not so long as we walk this earth. Officer Jordan understands it now, and I believe that even with the knowledge of what he has given up; Officer Jordan is now smiling because he not only understands Gods will, he is experiencing God's love first hand.

Your patrol work is done, your watch is complete. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Ken,
My heart broke when I heard the news that yet another one of our officers had made the ultimate sacrafice, and had been killed in the line of duty. I did not know you personally, but you are my hero. Thank you for your service and dedication. You will NEVER be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends in this time of tragedy. Rest in peace Ken...

I NEVER DREAMED IT WOULD BE ME
MY NAME FOR ALL ETERNITY
RECORDED HERE AT THIS HALLOWED PLACE
ALAS, MY NAME, NO MORE MY FACE
" IN THE LINE OF DUTY" I HEAR THEM SAY
MY FAMILY NOW THE PRICE WILL PAY
MY FOLDED FLAG STAINED WITH THEIR TEARS
WE ONLY HAD THOSE FEW SHORT YEARS
THE BADGE NO LONGER ON MY CHEST
I SLEEP NOW IN ETERNAL REST
MY SWORD I PASS TO THOSE BEHIND
AND PRAY THEY KEEP THIS THOUGHT IN MIND
I NEVER DREAMED IT WOULD BE ME
AND WITH HEAVY HEART AND BENDED KNEE
I ASK FOR ALL HERE FROM THE PAST
DEAR GOD, LET MY NAME BE THE LAST

Rachel
