To the family of Trooper Hill and all the members of the Virginia State Police, I extend my deepest sympathies to all of you in this time of sorrow. I never met Tr. Hill but I did live for a short time in Virginia Beach and have the utmost respect for the Virginia State Police. Those that I met in passing were men to be looked up to, a reflection of the fine organization. May Trooper Hill rest in peace and God comfort all those who mourn him.

Trooper Hill you have given the ultimate sacrifice for the citizens of the Commonwealth as well as your community. From what I have read and heard about you, you definitely have made a postive impact on everyone you came into contact with. May God Bless you, your family, and your friends. Its never easy hearing that a fellow brother in law enforcement has died from a senseless act of someone else. I know that your State Police family will make sure your wife and family are taken care of, but my family will continue to pray for their comfort as they attempt to make sense of what happened. God speed and keep an watchful eye on the rest of us still doing what you began.
