Sir,

You have not died in vane. Your tour is not over. You must stay 10-8 until needed just like Brian and Dep. Hudnal. Because one day (hopefully not in the near future) their will be an Officer/Deputy who is alone in the darkness in pain and in need of comfort. That is when you will get to finish your shift and help bring them home. REST WELL BROTHER. We will take it from here.

Dennis (we always called him Chris) is my stepbrother. I have good memories of growing up with him in New Jersey. We wrestled and beat up on each other as brothers do. I cheered for him at high school football games and her cheered for me at wrestling matches. During family dinners Chris would have us unable to eat because we were hysterical with laughter at his antics. When my dog died Chris gave me on of his dogs (Barney) to help ease the pain.
Many of us lost touch with Chris after his move to Georgia. His death is certainly a shock to all of the family. I am happy for him that he was able to reach a life long goal of becoming a police officer. The comments by officers that worked with my brother mean a great deal to me. I am proud of him and happy to know that he was a good, well respected police officer. Thank you for your comments. Rest in Peace my brother.

Munch,
Brother if you could only know how badly you are missed. I can't even begin to put into words what you meant to this department and your fellow deputies. At times the burden is hard to bear. You truly were an original. I will miss your sense of humor, "interesting" as it may have been sometimes. It was you after all that gave me the nickname "Dingee" and showed me how to be the police officer that I am today. I will always cherish the time we spent on duty side by side patroling the county and absolutely great times laughing and joking with each other I will keep those with me always. One only had to meet "Big D" (as a Sgt. Brown affectionately calls you) and they would remember you forever. You had one of those huge endearing personalities. We all know it you were larger than life brother. I remember the last conversation we had as I talked to you on the phone Friday while you were at the traffic meeting and you were being your usual self which made me laugh because I could not be there. If I had known that would have been the last time we were going to speak I would have said much more than "Talk to ya later brother be careful." Well big guy gonna miss your voice over the radio and in person. But we all know you are watching our backs out there. So wait for us brother, your watch is over we've got it now. Maybe sometime we can finish our conversation we started Friday.

We miss ya FLAV!!!!

Dennis,

You know the saying God's Special People...aka GSP? Well some don't like the saying but I think it fits all of you to a tea. It takes a very special person to do what you do. Its not the greatest pay, benifits, you dont have a corner office with a view. All you have is a crying scared little child to deal with because daddy has hit his mommy. And you deal with it. You take it with stride and the only thing that makes it worth wild is when that child hugs you and tells you thank you for helping his mommy. That my dear friend makes you One of "Gods Special People" Take that with pride.

Rest in Peace Sir. Keep your fellow officers safe. You will be missed.

Dennis, had I known that our conversation that night would be the last, it would not have been so brief. You were a good friend and what's more you were a Brother. It was an honor to work with you and know you. We had great times together, and I will cherish those memories. You epitomized courage, strength, and dedication. I don't think I ever saw you without a smile on your face. You were also always willing to help others unselfishly and without question. My prayers go out to your family. You are loved and will be missed. Keep it together up there, and keep an eye on us down here. See you in heaven.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Deputy Sheriff Wright, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest
