Reflections for Deputy Sheriff William Joseph Hudnall, Jr.
Sir,
Rest easy brother.. Although you can never be replaced we will do our best to continue what you have started. You are still 10-8, your shift is not over. One day you will be called upon when there is an injured Officer/Deputy who is alone and in need of comfort. That Sir is when you will get to finish shift by helping to bring them home.
Brian may have been there for you.

This not only brings sadness to the family but also to the department and the law enforcement of this great country and world. We pray that your sorrow will not be forgotten and that there are other officers there for you in your time of need.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Deputy Sheriff Hudnall, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.
Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

Words can not express how our family feels about hearing about Deputy
William Hudnall. It has only been two short years since we lost our son Deputy
Dan Archuleta from the same Department. Our prayers are with the Hudnall family and all the Deputies at Kern County who now have lost another brother.
Deputy Hudnall was a true hero. He gave his life protecting and serving the communities he lived and worked in. May his family find comfort and peace in the arms of our Lord. He is now patrolling the streets of GOLD.
