Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Brian Keith Tephford

I just wanted to say that everyday my husband goes to work I worry that I will see his name on the web-page unfortunately I know about this website bc my best friend was killed in the line of duty on 8/18/04. My heart goes out to your family, friends and your Department. I know all to well what this tragedy feels like. You are a Hero Deputy Tephford ... God Bless...
And to the family of Deputy Tephford, know that you are not alone. When Brian became an officer your family grew larger than you can even imagine. Reach out to us, your police family love and care about you all too.

Deputy Tephford, we can all only hope that those responsible for your murder face true justice, if not in this world, then in the next. You are a hero and I thank you for your efforts on behalf of the public at large. Many of the personal Reflections left indicate you were a pretty special person. I have no doubt of that.

You may have physically left this world, but you will always be near and you will offer love and guidance to your children, and they will know it and feel it all the days of their lives.

God Bless and may you Rest in Peace, Brother.

My thoughts go out not only to the Deputy but to the children and family. Im not an officer but the wife of one. We let these men and women go to work everyday knowing that this is what they love. Some of us dont want to admit that we sit home worried but know we must support them. It is not something we can worry about 24 hours a day until this happens. It is at times like this we must truly stand by them and believe in their courage. God Bless Deputy Tephford and may his children know that he entered heaven doing something to protect all of us and he has made us proud to be the wives/husbands/children/mothers/fathers/sisters and brothers of these officers.

Rest easy brother. May God give your family, friends and colleagues comfort in this terrible time of tragedy. Know this: Justice will be served to those two spineless cowards. Those of us in the L.E.O. community will carry your torch and make you proud. You paid the ultimate price, and at a time like this, international boundaries mean nothing. We are all brothers and sisters in law enforcement, and when one falls, we all feel the loss.

Yet another funeral to perform for a fallen brother. Every loss tears a piece of our hearts, but not our resolve. We will never forget your sacrifice brother Brian and we will always honor your memory, for we do this not to remember the way you died, but what you did in life to serve and protect us all.

Rest in Peace and until we meet again
