My Late Grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Scott, of Mcdade, A Naval Veteran of WW2, Korea, and Vietnam, used to tell me stories when I was young, that his Father John Told him, about the relative he was named after who was a Texas Ranger that died in the line of duty. My kids know it. I hope you know this.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 171rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
