Your heroism and service is honored today, the 172nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
What an awful ordeal you and your fellow rangers endured.
Rest In Peace

The dedication of yourself and the men of your company was beyond the call of duty. You were all outnumbered but you and the other rangers went forward and continued the fight even as the prairie grass burned around you and your men. You are all true heroes and are surely the true Sons of Texas. May you and your fellow rangers rest in peace and I thank all of you for being true members of the thin blue line.
