"Anyone can slay a dragon, he told me, but try waking up in the morning and loving the world all over again. That's what takes a real hero."
I had the pleasure of meeting some Yellowstone County Deputies when I worked as a Law Enforcement Ranger in Bighorn Canyon N.R.A., Ft. Smith duty station. The deputies were very professional and my guess is that Deputy Briese was no exception to that....thank you for all that you did.
Rest in peace Deputy Briese...we'll take it from here.

Our family unites in sorrow and grief with the family, friends, and co-workers of Deputy David Briese.
The oldest of us was 8 when dad died, and the youngest wasn't yet born. We trust that fellow officers will honor the memory of Deputy Briese by talking about David when his young sons ask.
Deputy Briese, you will not be forgotten; rest in peace, sir.
