Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents & our comfort is that He will judge the guilty justly and punish without end.

I was born and raised in Bowling Green, KY and my heart is deeply saddened today. As soon as I saw the picture of MPO David Whitson, I recognized him from classes we attended together at WKU. As a wife of a Police Officer, my thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children. May God carry you through this very difficult time and wipe every tear away. To his fellow officers: May God guide you, give you strength, and keep you safe in the weeks and months ahead. Your extended Police Family mourns with you.
Rest in peace Master Police Officer David Whitson.
