Officer Picagli, directing traffic can be a breeze and something to have fun with, but it’s never something to be taken lightly. I mourn your passing and my heart and my prayers go out to your family at the New Haven PD and most especially to your wife and children. They will miss you terribly, but they’ll always feel you near.

God Bless and Rest in Peace, Brother.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Officer Picagli's family, friends and co-workers. I was married to Alabama State Trooper Brian Nichols EOW 2/17/2002 and I am now married to Washington County Sheriff Deputy Aaron Carpenter. All of your COPS family is here for you and hurting for you.
