To the family of Officer Briggs,
I know there are no words to take away the immense pain you are feeling at this tragic and senseless murder. Please know that you are not alone: you have a large extended "law enforcement family" who is there for you now, will be there for you in the future (especially through the COPS organization), and who will never, ever forget Officer Briggs' brave sacrifice.

My father grew up in Manchester, and my late husband and I had the pleasure of visiting relatives there twice in our years together. It is hard to fathom that a coldblooded murderer could be a part of such a nice city.

Mrs. Briggs and your two children, may God hold you ever more closely in His loving arms.
