To Brian and Mitchell Briggs, I hope you two young men realize the true hero that your father was. Every day that he went to work on the streets of Manchester, he put the lives of others before his own. My heart goes out to the family, friends, and anyone whose life was touched by Officer Briggs. It is such a tragedy to see such a beautiful life taken away. I am reminded of the lyrics of a song by Jewel called "Angel Standing By":

You truley lived and passed as a hero... Many times a few years ago my daughter would see you on Bike patrol in our neighborhood late at night and ask for stickers sometimes you had them sometimes you didnt but it kinda became a ritual to wait for you and your partner to see if you had any at night.

you will be sadley missed...Our familys thoughts and prayers are with your family and fellow officers in this time of grief....
