Papa Clemente, I will not forget you as long as I live. I will keep you in my heart. Your son grew up, married my Grandmother. They had eight children, and about thirty five of us grandchildren. Your family has grown so much. I'm sorry you had to leave at a young age. Your wife gave birth a daughter as well.
Peace to you Great Grandpa. I will love you forever.

It's very disturbing to know that justice was never served for your untimely death. May your story and will to honorably serve the community continue to live in our hearts forever. May you continue to rest in peace as your family of present time was there to see your honor recognized at the Texas Peace Officers Memorial on May 6, 2018.

Constable Clemente Reyna of Benadives, TX., you don't know me but I am your Great Grandson Carlos. I just read the story of your bravery yesterday for the first time. I fell asleep thinking of you and woke up this morning still thinking of you. I have thought of you all day long. I have shared your story with my children, brother, sister and cousins. Our family has always honored you. You were taken on my Grandpa's first birthday, Feb 6, 1893. I am told he never celebrated his birthday because of his love and honor of you. He lived till 1963. I will remember you until I am called away. I love you dearly Grandpa. Rest in peace. PS: One of my uncles was named after you.
