Another loss in the family of the black and grey. I had the privledge of meeting Sgt. Holcomb a few times while my family was stationed in Jackson while my dad was assigned to the D-9 headquarters. The loss of any law enforcement officer is tragic, but it truly hits home when it is one of your own. Although I badge I do not wear, my mourning band is still worn. Sgt. Holcomb, your shift is now done, go the heavens and give comfort and care there, as you did for 21 faithful years, to the citizens of Ohio and all those your worked with. With each passing day, your legacy will move on and the knowledge and skills you passed on, will be used by those you leave behind. Never forgotten, always cherished.

Sergeant Holcomb, Trooper Risner, and the driver of the other car are in our family's thoughts and prayers.

Sergeant Holcomb, your 21 years of service to the great state of Ohio make us proud to be Buckeyes. Your wife and children are now part of a club no one wants to join, that of police survivors. They will be surrounded with compassion and love as they travel this difficult path. God bless you, sir, and keep His loving arms around you and your family. Rest in peace; you will not be forgotten.

When I heard about your death, I cried. I cried for your family, your friends, the law enforcement community, and selfishly even for myself. How unfair that another upstanding decent person could be taken from us. How cruel that we have lost another "soldier" who was trying to fight the good fight.

I understand the pain that is associated with losing a loved one in such a tragic way. Time will heal but YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!

My thought and prayers go out to the Holcomb family. It is hard to understand why God's plan called your loved one away, but always remember the good times and always look forward to the day when we will all be together again.
My heart is hurting, as it is hard to loose a loved one, but God will never give you more than you can handle.
