Reflections for Agent Michael Del Thomas
We are so sorry to here about your tragic loss of a loved one in law enforcement. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in support. As we personally know, sometimes there is little comfort that comes from words. Keep focused as you can on the memories and joyous times for these things may bring you comfort. Rely heavily on family, friends, and other law enforcement. Honor your fallen loved one, for their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Dear Mike;
Writing a reflection in your honor, seems so trivial, yet I know of no other way for me to say, "Thank you brother". Thank you on behalf of those of us still here, for your keeping the scared oath, "To serve and protect". You did what you promised to do, many years before...to stand up and defend those who cannot defendant themselves, even at great peril to ourselves.
My prayers are two-fold: that our God in Heaven holds you close in His hand for all eternity. The second, is that the time will come when we no longer will add any more names to the Memorial. You have done us proud, Mike. Now rest in peace brother...we have the watch. Amen

Each time another Brother in blue falls, we all lose a piece of ourselves. Another dark day has fallen on America. Another one of our finest has made the ultimate sacrifice. Sensless, lacking answers and leaving us to wonder “why?”. Your family and your partners will always remain in our prayers. May God grant you eternal peace, and your family the comfort of His tremendous love.
Sleep now, for you have earned your rest. Your troubles are left behind, and your work here is done. You have been chosen to join a Heavenly force, where I will meet you some day. Stand proud among those heros who have gone before you.

Mike, you will be truly missed. Besides being an outstanding member of this department you were one of the nicest human beings we have ever known. May your murderer burn in hell for his cowardly act. If society could only see what life would be like without Police Officers.

It is a sad day for Aurora PD. We've lost a great person to a senseless crime. It just doesn't make sense. I got the chance to enjoy some happy moments with Detective Thomas while working out. We never finished our workout because we would catch ourselves laughing rather then completing that mile. He would pop in our office with this huge smile and chat up a storm about his daughter and his upcoming retirement. It's just hard to swallow the fact that he's no longer here. He will be greatly missed.
