My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Patrolman Kerns, I mourn your murder which took place 107 years ago last week. I'm glad two of the thugs were caught and can only hope the third, the actual murderer, faced justice at some point.
