We are so sorry to here about your tragic loss of a loved one in law enforcement. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in support. As we personally know, sometimes there is little comfort that comes from words. Keep focused as you can on the memories and joyous times for these things may bring you comfort. Rely heavily on family, friends, and other law enforcement. Honor your fallen loved one, for their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and fellow officers of Officer Canales-Mundo.

While no one who wears a badge wants to be put into such a situation, you put yourself into the line of fire to protect those whom you might not have even known despite the danger. While I did not have the privilege to have known him personally, I am certain that he has found a place in heaven.

Rest in peace my friend; those of us who remain will cover your post on the thin blue line.

GOD BLESS YOU FOR DEDICATION. My family sends their prays to you and your family. We know the times ahead will be difficult, but his memory lives within you and all that knew Officer Mundo and those who didn't have the honor to meet him. He was a great man to have served the streets of his beat and now it is others that will do that for him. But remember how he will patrol the streets of Heaven, From all over the world, LEO's are a huge family and we may not live next door or in the same area but we cry with you because we know it takes a great man or women to take on the responsiblity. Be proud of yourself for the many nights along and the holidays that he worked. You to must of loved him greatly as I do my husband.

The Canon City Internet Radio staff and members want you to know that we will keep the family, loved ones and the sisters and brothers who wear the badge of law enforcement in our prayers and thoughts.
"A Part Of America Died",
Somebody killed a policeman today,
And part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect that shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights.
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids,
And spend many long lonely nights.
The beat he walked was a battle field too
just as if he had gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
In your town or mine,
While we slept in comfort behind locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And stands at each new rookies' side.
He answered the call,of himself and gave his all,
And a part of America died.
